To All BenchRest Shooters at the Marbletown Sportsmen's Club ("MSC"):

BenchRest participation at the MSC began to increase at the end of 2024. In 2025 we added three (3) additional BenchRest shooting positions. During the 2026 BenchRest season, we have seen a steady increase in the number of participants. Since we have only thirteen (13) shooting positions available, we have not been able to accommodate any shooters beyond the first thirteen who show up. It has come to our attention that we have not made clear that participation in the BenchRest events on the last Sunday of every month (April through September) is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. The MSC Board of Directors is evaluating options to provide additional opportunities for BenchRest shooters.

However, for the remainder of 2026, we will be limiting participation to the first thirteen shooters who arrive and register. We will ensure that our notices indicate, first, that we are limited to the first thirteen shooters who arrive, and second, that registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., even though we will not commence shooting until 9:00 a.m., per a long-standing agreement with our immediate neighbors.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and especially for not noting our limitations for the scheduled BenchRest events. We will consider running two separate relays — for example, one starting at 9:00 a.m. and a second starting at 11:00 a.m. — based on the availability of volunteers. More to follow on this issue.
